A midfielder from Pasadena, California; Helen Schaeffer joins the Aurora for her first season with the team.
She was a redshirt freshman at Pepperdine University, playing her first collegiate game in 2020, starting in 10 games that season. She transferred to Loyola Marymouth University in 2023 for her senior year, where she recorded an assist on a game-tying goal against San Diego on Sept. 17, 2023.
Schaefer has received several WCC All-Academic and Pepperdine Scholar-Athlete honors during her collegiate career.
Schaefer also has numerous years of club experience, playing with SoCal Academy for 5 years and FC Golden State for 3 years.
