Hometown: Logan, Utah

School: Utah State University

A defender and native of Utah, Capriel Winder dons Aurora teal for the first time in 2026.

Winder, a rising sophomore, spent 2025 at Utah State University, logging nearly 1,700 minutes across 19 appearances for the Aggies. The other half of USU’s Winder sister duo was a crucial piece of Utah State’s 10-win campaign a season ago, helping the Aggies reach for the third straight season.

Despite journeying to Minnesota for her first season with the club this summer, Winder has crossed paths with a number of former Aurora FC faces, spending 2025 as college teammates with Tess Werts (2024), Kaylie Chambers (2024) and Austin Miller (2025).

Winder joins a growing pipeline between Logan, Utah and Eagan, Minnesota, with Utah State being the alma mater of former Aurora FC captain Addy Weichers and Kylie Olsen, both of whom were members of the club’s inaugural roster in 2022.

In October, Winder received a call-up to the US U-20 Women’s National Team training camp ahead of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

At the prep level, Winder is a former three time All-State Utah selection, garnering First Team honors in consecutive seasons to close out her high school career, finishing with 55 total goal contributions in four seasons.

Additionally, Winder is a two time ECNL all-conference pick at the club level.
