School: University of Minnesota

A center back out of the University of Minnesota, Overberg will suit up for her first season with Aurora in 2025.

The Iowa native joins the club following four seasons with the Gophers, where she logged over 1,500 minutes in a single season three times and earned the captain’s armband as a senior.

During her freshman season in 2021, Overberg appeared in each of UMN’s 17 matches that year, and was just one of two Gophers players to play at least 1,590 minutes. As a junior, Overberg led Minnesota in minutes (1,516), missing just 15 total minutes in 2023.

Overberg started all 22 matches for the Gophers during her senior campaign in 2024, playing nearly 2,000 minutes. She captained UMN to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018, and guided Minnesota to its deepest postseason run – the national Round of 16 – in 14 years. The Gophers eventually fell to eventual National Champions University of North Carolina.

During her four seasons with Minnesota, Overberg helped the Gophers’ backline to 30 total clean sheets. She started 69 of her 74-career appearances in a Minnesota shirt.
