A hybrid forward/midfielder at the NCAA Division I level, Hadlie Barrera dons an Aurora FC kit for her first season with the club in 2026.

Barrera, a rising sophomore, spent her first college season at Utah State University, helping the Aggies to a 10 win season and a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.

As a freshman in 2025, Barrera was an immediate contributor on the pitch, appearing in 23 matches overall, playing 735 minutes. She finished her inaugural season with five goals, while posting eight goal contributions overall.

Her five goals finished tied for second on the Aggies, with former Aurora FC forward Tess Werts. The Utah native also ended the 2025 season tied for the team lead in braces with one, tallying a pair of goals against San Jose State on October 26 en route to Mountain West Conference ‘Freshman of the Week’ honors.

Barrera closed out her 2025 campaign as one of only eight Utah State players to appear in every match.

Prior to arriving in Logan, Utah, Barrera was a standout player at the prep level, garnering All-State Utah honors each of her four high school seasons. She was twice named the Utah Class 4A ‘Player of the Year’ (2022, 2024), ultimately finishing with 74 career goals and 29 assists, posting 34 goals in her senior season alone.
