A versatile full back and midfielder with nearly 80 career NCAA Division I appearances, Hannah Boughton joins Aurora FC for her first season with the club in 2026.
Boughton, a native of Texas, heads to Eagan following her senior season at University of Central Florida. Prior to her lone season at UCF, Boughton played a pair of seasons at Baylor University and began her career at University of Missouri.
As a freshman for Mizzou in 2022, Boughton was a day one starter in the highly touted Southeastern Conference, earning starts in 16 of her 17 total appearances that season. During her inaugural NCAA Division I campaign, Baughton notched three goal contributions (1 goal, 3 assists) and led the Tigers with 33 shots.
Following that season, Boughton transferred to Baylor University in the Big 12 Conference.
During her sophomore season in 2023, Boughton appeared in a then-career best 19 matches, chipping in an assist. The following season, as a junior in 2024,
Boughton again played 19 matches, recording a pair of assists, including dishing out the helper on the Bears’ match-winning goal in August against in-state rival Texas A&M.
Boughton transferred to UCF ahead of her senior season.
Her final college season in 2025 proved to be one of Boughton’s best. The midfielder started 16 of her 21 appearances for the Knights, logging a single-season career high 1,458 minutes. She played every minute of seven matches that season, and started the final 12 straight matches along the back line after opening the season in the midfield. She closed the campaign with one goal, scoring in the NCAA Tournament opening round against Maine.
Prior to her time in college, Boughton was a highly touted prospect on the prep circuit, landing as the no. 63 ranked midfielder in the Class of 2022, according to TopDrawerSoccer.
