A defensive stalwart out of NCAA Division I, Kalo Iongi joins Aurora FC for her first season with the club in 2026.

Iongi arrives in Eagan on the heels of four highly productive seasons with Portland State University out of the Big Sky Conference, playing 5,180 career minutes across 69 matches. The Utah native started at least 16 matches in two of her four college campaigns.

Upon arriving on campus as a freshman in 2022, Iongi became an immediate starter, where she was included in the starting unit 10 times across her 18 appearances that season. Iongi ultimately finished her first collegiate season with 1,311 minutes logged, third most on the Vikings’ roster that year.

Iongi followed that up with a strong sophomore campaign in 2023, making 17 appearances with 16 starts and playing 1,332 minutes. That year, she played every minute of nine matches while recording both her first career goal against Idaho State and first career assist against Cal State Northridge.

In 2024, Iongi tallied 18 appearances to go along with 1,166 minutes, including a career best 110 minutes logged in the Big Sky Conference Tournament Quarterfinals against Eastern Washington. She closed 2024 out playing 719 consecutive minutes across seven starts en route to All-Big Sky Second Team honors.

As a senior in 2025, Iongi was once more a consistent face in the starting lineup, starting all 17 of her appearances, while playing 1,475 minutes. She again closed the season on a strong note, playing every minute of nine straight starts to end the season, this time landing on the All-Big Sky First Team.
