Duong started her collegiate career at the University of Minnesota in 2019. As a freshman, she led the team with 38 shots (15 on goal). Duong recorded one goal and one assist across 16 matches, and she was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. As a sophomore, Duong added another three assists to her tally. 

In between her freshman and sophomore seasons, Duong represented the United States U20 Women’s National Team at the 2020 CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying in the Dominican Republic. She scored one goal and added three assists. 

Duong transferred to Stanford University for her remaining eligibility. As a junior, Duong scored one goal and tallied four assists. As a senior, she continued to be an anchoring presence in the Cardinals’ midfield. In her final season at Stanford, Duong recorded two assists, ending her collegiate career with three goals and 11 assists. The Cardinals went 20-1-4 but lost to Florida State in the NCAA Tournament Final.

Duong was selected in the fourth round (No. 53) by the Portland Thorns in the 2024 NWSL Draft and practiced with the team during preseason.

Duong graduated with a degree in biomechanical engineering from Stanford.
