A former All-Ivy League Selection and USL W League veteran, Maia Tabion joins Aurora FC for her first season with the club in 2026.
Tabion, a native of Washington, arrives in Eagan fresh off a highly productive four year career with Columbia University, where logged 4,619 minutes from 2022 through 2025. The forward capped off her time in the college ranks with 29 total goal involvements, including 13 career goals.
As a freshman in 2022, Tabion became a consistent face in the starting unit, tallying 14 starts in as many appearances while recording three goals and two assists. She was ultimately named to the Ivy League’s Honorable Mention team that season.
Tabion followed a stellar freshman season up with a strong sophomore campaign in 2023, recording her first of what would be three double-digit point seasons, posting three goals with four assists across 18 appearances.
In 2024, Tabion started each of the Lions’ 16 matches, playing 1,220 minutes while chipping in a single season career-best four goals as a junior, two of which were match-winners, a total that paced Columbia that season.
As a senior in 2025, Tabion put together her most complete season, recording new career-highs in minutes played (1,361), assists (6), while matching her single-season bests in starts (16) and points (12).
While 2026 is Tabion’s first foray into the Heartland Division, Tabion is no stranger to the USL W League. During the 2025 W League season, Tabion played for Salmon Bay FC during the club’s inaugural season, appearing in nine matches while playing 618 minutes. She chipped in three goal contributions last summer, including two assists.
At the international level, Tabion has earned call-ups to the United States U15 and U18 Youth National Teams, helping the US win the 2016 CONCACAF U15 Championship.
