Mayu Inokawa is a defender with Minnesota Aurora FC. Inokawa missed the first half of the season due to a lingering injury but still played in four games for 190 minutes. She scored one goal in 2022, and it couldn’t have been at a better time. During the USL W League quarterfinal against Indy Eleven, Inokawa stepped up to take a penalty kick, and her unique stutter step approach helped Aurora advance to the semifinal.
