Mio Nakajima



Hometown: Osaka, Japan

School: Wilmington University

Nakajima took over as the starting goalkeeper for the Wilmington Wildcats as a sophomore, starting in all 18 matches. Nakajima made 68 saves and had a .673 save percentage in her sophomore season. 

During her junior year, Nakajima led the Wildcats back to the CACC Tournament. She started 17 of her 18 appearances, posting four solo shutouts during the team’s 11-3-4 season. When Nakajima was in net, she held opponents to an average of 0.94 goals per game.

At the prep level, Nakajima played at Osaka Gakugei High School and helped her team place third in the National Championship Tournament in Japan. She is currently majoring in business management at Wilmington University.
