Nicole Lukic Promoted to Head Coach and Sporting Director for Minnesota Aurora FC

Today, Minnesota Aurora FC announced the promotion of current Head Coach Nicole Lukic to also include an expanded role of Sporting Director, where she will oversee all soccer related aspects of the club. 

“From the beginning this club has invested in myself as a head coach, in the members of the coaching staff, and most of all our players. I’m thrilled to be able to take on an even greater leadership role in continuing that work” Said Lukic.

In her first year as Head Coach of Minnesota Aurora FC, Lukic led the team to an undefeated top seed finish in the regular season, and climbed all the way to the USL W League Championship Game. She earned USL W League Coach of the Year honors while leading an all women coaching staff that built a team from scratch in Aurora’s inaugural season. Lukic currently holds her USSF A coaching license. 

“Nicole is a builder,” said Matt Privratsky, Co-Founder and past Director of Soccer Operations. “We chose Nicole to lead our team because she knows how to create an impactful, creative style of play on the field, but also because she knows how to set a foundation for success that is sustainable. We are so excited to see her expand her role and impact within the club.”
