Goalkeeper Coach

 

Cody Cropper joins Minnesota Aurora’s coaching staff as the goalkeeper coach with 14 years of high level playing experience in goal in addition to several years of coaching at the Division I level with the University of St. Thomas Men’s Soccer Program.

His playing career includes both international and domestic experience in various leagues including the Barclays Premier League and Major League Soccer. He played seven seasons in England’s top two divisions, which includes time at Ipswich Town FC (2009-12), Southampton FC (2012-15), and Milton Keynes Dons FC (2015-16) Additionally, he played seven seasons in Major League Soccer with New England Revolution (2016–19), Houston Dynamo (2020), FC Cincinnati (2021), and Vancouver Whitecaps FC (2022) with various spells in the USL Championship with Hartford Athletic (2018), Memphis 901 (2021), and Orange County SC (2023).

Cropper was also a part of U.S. Soccer for over a decade, representing the U-17, U-20, and U-23 national teams. He also earned more than a handful of call-ups to the senior national team.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Cody was raised in the Twin Cities and now lives just outside of Minneapolis with his wife, Nicole, and daughter, Atticus. In addition to being a family man and coach, Cropper is actively pursuing his Masters in Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas and instructing at Lifetime Inc.
