Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with over 5000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The club has two teams and plays in the pre-professional USL W League and UPSL Women’s League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SOUGHTS

The Broadcast Color Commentator for this USL-W position is part time, seasonal, and starts May 5, 2025 through the entire Aurora season. The Broadcast Color Commentator reports to the Head of Marketing of the USL-W team. The office is located in Eagan, MN, and training and home games are at TCO Stadium.

Minnesota Aurora is looking to hire a broadcast color commentator for streaming and over the air for the 2025 season partnering with a play-by-play announcer for home games in Eagan, MN.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Broadcast Aurora’s 6 home games and any scheduled home playoff games
  • Attend 1-2 Aurora team practices per week for the season (May-June) and possible playoffs (July) to build a knowledge base of the team/players. Players/coaches made available by request
  • Set up and conduct weekly prep calls with Aurora coaching staff
  • Conduct weekly prep calls with visiting team coaching staff 
  • Social media interaction is encouraged but not required

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience broadcasting soccer games

Strong knowledge of soccer overall, and women’s soccer in particular

Working knowledge of college soccer, pre-professional soccer, and overall player pool

Payment for services

Aurora is offering to pay $300 per game to an independent contractor for these services. Coverage needed for all regular season home games and home playoff games, as scheduled.
