Business leaders Beth Wozniak, Carley Knox join Minnesota Aurora FC Board of Directors

Wozniak also joins Knox as an investor

Minnesota Aurora FC is thrilled to announce that Beth Wozniak and Carley Knox are joining the organization’s Board of Directors. These highly respected business leaders bring valuable experience and insight to Aurora as it continues to advance the long-term strategy for growth across all areas of the organization. Wozniak is also joining Knox as a personal investor in Aurora. 

Wozniak is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of nVent, a $3 billion global electrical manufacturing company, with more than 11,000 employees worldwide. She led the company’s 2018 spin-off from Pentair plc after serving as President of Pentair’s Electrical and Flow & Filtration Solutions business units. nVent has been an Aurora sponsor since 2023 presenting Women of Inspiration night each season. 

Before joining Pentair, Wozniak spent 25 years at Honeywell in a range of executive roles, including President of its Environmental and Combustion Controls and Sensing and Control divisions. A recognized business leader, Wozniak was honored as the 2023 Twin Cities Business Person of the Year, a 2024 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year national finalist and a 2025 Women MAKE Award winner. She serves on the Parker Hannifin Board, is Chair of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) and holds engineering and MBA degrees from McMaster and York Universities in Canada.

The experiences I have in leadership, business development and building a winning team I think will benefit the board and the broader organization,” said Wozniak “I am passionate about supporting women in sports and creating opportunities for the community. Aurora is a great organization, and I am excited to contribute as the team continues to grow and expand.”

Knox, the President of Business Operations for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx, is entering her 22nd season in the WNBA and 17th with the Lynx. She oversees the day-to-day business operations of the organization, supporting ticket sales and service, public relations, marketing, community impact, logistics, business development with corporate partnerships, budget management, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, season scheduling and is the primary liaison between the team and the WNBA on league-wide business, COO and marketing initiatives. Hired by the Minnesota Lynx in 2010 as Business Development Manager, Knox served as Director and then Vice President of Business Operations, overseeing corporate partnerships and ticket sales. Before joining the Lynx, she spent five years with the WNBA’s Detroit Shock as Director of Sales and Marketing.

She currently serves on the Executive Committee, Chair of the Development Committee and on the Board for the Ann Bancroft Foundation. She was also the Grand Marshal for Twin Cities PRIDE 2024, an honor bestowed upon an individual who has shown a tireless commitment to amplifying voices, and elevating the lives of members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In addition, Knox is a member of the Kare 11 Community Advisory Council and was part of the 2022 NCAA Women’s Final Four Local Advisory Council.

Wozniak and Knox join Chair Allie Schmidt on the board, along with community owner representatives Laura Bishop and Lizzie Breyer Bowman and Andrea Yoch, Wes Burdine, Ida Kane, Irene Quarshie.
