Game Day Manager

Location: In person, Eagan, MN 

Status:  Part time, Hourly, March 1 – September 10, 2025

Compensation: $27-$30 per hour based on experience 

ABOUT THE CLUB 

Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with over 5000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The club has two teams and plays in the pre-professional USL W League and UPSL Women’s League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

The Game day Manager position is part time, seasonal position (March 1 – Minnesota State Fair) beginning March 1, 2025. The position reports to the Interim President / CEO. Aurora’s Headquarters are in Eagan, MN. Aurora 1 home games and training are at TCO Stadium in Eagan. Aurora 2 is TBD, but will be in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position is responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing all Minnesota Aurora FC gamedays (Aurora 1 & Aurora 2).
  • Primary liaison to various facilities managers to execute game day. Responsible for overall success of gameday events including:
    • Managing staffing needs, materials, and services requirements.
    • Organizing work crews and schedules of paid and volunteer staff including production team for audio and visual during the games. 
    • Overseeing facility set-up and tear-down. 
    • Uphold security standards for Vikings Lakes and Minnesota Aurora providing a safe and comfortable environment for fans and players. 
    • Project manager to ensure the game day presentation matches Aurora’s brand guidelines including scoreboard graphics, public address announcements, music and game day timing. 
  • Responsible for understanding the needs of various locations and ensuring successful events for players, fans and guests.
  • Responsible for creating credentialing system that meets the security requirements of Viking Lakes.
  • Provides on-site direction and coordination to facility operations while game day events are in  progress and enforce compliance with related facility operating policies and procedures. Troubleshoot  as necessary prior to, during, and after game day and events.  
  • Work with the sponsorship team to activate the details of contracts within Aurora games and other events to fulfill Aurora’s commitments. Provide clear deadlines and specs for scoreboard graphics and other signage and required assets. 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in event management in a collegiate and/or professional sports setting
  • Knowledge of applicable safety requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills  and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to work in Canva, Microsoft Excel and Google documents.
  • Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providing information, guidance and motivation. 
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgement in the establishment,  interpretation, application, and enforcement of all rules, regulations, and policies. 
  • Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively. 
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with a diverse group of staff and the community  in a service-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative  relationships with both internal and external constituencies. 
  • Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal  supervision.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays. 
  • Must attend all Aurora 1 and Aurora 2 home games.
