Saige Wimes

Wimes returns for her second season with Aurora in 2025, following an electrifying 19-point campaign.

A native of Missouri, Wimes played a crucial role up front in 2024, making 10 appearances with nine starts. Her seven goals were the 4th most scored by any Aurora player, tied with Cat Rapp, and finished just one off the pace of former Aurora attackers and now-current professionals Katie Duong (USL Super League) and Sophie French (Kvindeligaen).

The seven goals also rank as the 7th most scored in a single season in club history.

Collegiately, Wimes plays at University of Kansas and has been part of the Jayhawks’ program since 2022. In two seasons, Wimes has logged 42 appearances with 16 goal contributions (seven goals, nine assists).

After taking a redshirt season in 2023, Wimes returned in 2024 to start all 23 matches for Kansas, netting a career-best five goals. She helped Kansas to its second-ever Big 12 championship, knocking off TCU at CPKC Stadium.
