Tess Werts

Werts scored three goals in her 808 minutes of playing time with the 2023 South Georgia Tormenta FC. At Tormental, she played alongside Kaylie Chambers, and the duo are now teammates for Minnesota Aurora. 

Werts had an exciting start to her freshman year at Utah State when she scored the first goal of the season less than eight minutes into the Aggies’ first match. Werts also tallied one assist in the 2022 season, bringing her point total to three. During her sophomore season, Werts was second on the team in points with 10 points. 

At the ECNL level, Werts’ team placed third nationally, won three conference championships, and captured a Surf Cup Championship. Werts played most of her high school soccer career in Portland, OR, but she moved to Draper, UT for her senior season. 

Werts is majoring in marketing at Utah State University.
