Minnesota Aurora FC Unveils 2026 “Flora Kit” in Collaboration with Minneapolis Institute of Art
EAGAN – (Apr. 2, 2026)– The Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) and Minnesota Aurora FC today unveiled the club’s new 2026 jersey, “Flora” a design-forward collaboration that blends art, sport and community storytelling.
Flora celebrates Aurora’s fifth season and embodies the club’s identity: community ownership, inclusivity and creativity. More than a uniform, it is a symbol of belonging, inviting fans to be part of a shared story that lives both on and off the field.
Created in partnership with Mia and local artist and educator Lindsay Nohl, the Flora jersey is inspired by Minnesota’s natural landscape, and is intentionally understated. It uses tone-on-tone details and layered imagery to create depth, so the design reveals more the closer you look- almost like wearable art in motion.
- The design features subtle, layered graphics of native plants like wildflowers and wild rice, reflecting what you might see across the state’s prairies and wetlands.
- The small stars scattered across the upper half of the jersey are inspired by Minnesota’s night sky. They add a sense of openness and space- similar to looking out over a field at dusk- while also tying into the Aurora name and theme and connecting back to the club’s original Constellation kit.
- The darker base color allows these elements to appear almost like silhouettes, giving the jersey a soft, textured look rather than a bold, high-contrast pattern.
From the beginning, Aurora has approached each jersey as a storytelling canvas, previously exploring themes like astronomy, community traditions and regional culture with designer Cassidy Sepnieski. The Flora jersey continues that tradition, weaving together art, identity and place.
Earlier this year, Aurora released the “Community Collection.” Fifteen percent of sales from this collection will be donated to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM), a local non-profit providing legal support and advocacy for immigrants and refugees.
Flora will be available for purchase online on Friday, April 3, at the Aurora online store. Fans are also invited to celebrate the launch at a special event on Friday, April 3, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Minnesota Aurora offices in Eagan. The family-friendly event will feature first access to purchase the Flora jersey, food trucks, fan activities, games, giveaways and surprises.
Minnesota Aurora FC will kick off its 2026 season on Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at TCO Stadium. Tickets start at $17, with free admission for children ages 3 and under. Season tickets and single-game tickets are on sale now! This season, $5 from every Aurora season ticket will also support the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota ($1 from Aurora and $4 from partner Pentz Homes.)
