Aurora Forward Sophie French Signs Professional Contract with Odense Boldklub Q

EAGAN, Minn. – Aurora forward Sophie French has signed a professional contract with Odense Boldklub Q in Odense, Denmark. OB Q competes in the Kvinde-DM Liga, the professional top-flight league for women’s soccer in Denmark.

Odense Q originates from OB Kvinde Elite and was established as an independent women’s football club in Odense in 2016. The club has senior teams in the 3F League and Kvinde-DM Liga. 

French ended the 2024 season with 17 points, scoring eight goals with one assist. French’s playing career for the Aurora began in 2023, bringing her Aurora career total to 31 points over two seasons. 

“Sophie is a true team player and will be an amazing addition to Odense. We’re all thrilled for her and look forward to celebrating her continued success as she starts this new chapter in her professional career,“ said Aurora Sporting Director and Head Coach Colette Montgomery.

French is the tenth Aurora player to sign a professional contract overall and third in 2024.
