ABOUT THE CLUB 

Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with over 5000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The club has two teams and plays in the pre-professional USL W League and UPSL Women’s League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

The Social Media and Content Coordinator is part time, year round in person and starts as soon as possible.  The position reports to the Head of Marketing. The office is located in Eagan, MN, and training and home games are at TCO Stadium.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develops and implements social and multimedia content plan
    • Schedules and organizes posts on social media 
    • Writing and sending newsletters
    • Responds to social media messages, mentions, tags, etc. 
    • Tracks players and their news 
    • Possible travel with the team during season to generate content
  • Oversee website maintenance (maintaining bios and links and creating articles)
  • Responsible for answering general emails from hello@mnaurora.com 
  • Coordinates and executes content for marketing/media events such as photo and video shoots
  • Coordinates and executes social media coverage for all home and away games
  • Must be present for all Aurora home games and available to work in person or remotely for away games
  • Must be available to post during Aurora events 
  • Manage Aurora databases maintained in Hubspot including community owners, season ticket holders and general fans
  • Coordinate with internal sponsorship lead to ensure sponsors deliverables are executed
  • Tracks social media impressions for sponsors
  • Maintains relationships with other teams social media 
  • Coordinate with internal community owner lead to ensure all community owner deliverables are executed
  • Contact with the league for announcements
  • Monthly reports measuring and demonstrating audience engagement/growth

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of two years of experience in comparable role 
  • Competency in basic graphic design Adobe 
  • Hubspot experience preferred. Demonstrated experience managing databases required.
  • Photography experience a plus 
  • Demonstrated ability to write 
  • Basic video editing skills required

COMPENSATION 

This is a part-time year round employee position paying in the range of $22 to $27 per hour based on experience. Hours vary throughout the year but in general we expect the role will be up to 20 hours per week off-season and more than 20 hours per week during season (May – July).
