Aurora midfielder Vienna Behnke signs Pro contract
Eagan, MN – Minnesota Aurora midfielder Vienna Behnke is returning to professional soccer signing a contract with Nees Atromitou in the Greek Super League, the highest level of women’s soccer in Greece. Before joining Aurora, Behnke played professionally in Iceland for Haukar (2017, 2019-2021) and in 2022 for Fylkir where she was tied for team leading goals and assists.
Behnke played in nine Aurora games with two starts in 2023 for 315 minutes helping Aurora go 12-0 in the regular season and win the Heartland Division title and the Central Conference title.
“I’m very appreciative of my time with Aurora, The people involved who go above and beyond made my experience unforgettable,” said Behnke. “I’m excited to return to Europe to continue my pro career. I’m looking forward to the challenge of a different league, another culture, and new opportunities.”

Behnke is from Neenah, Wisconsin. Born and raised in Wisconsin she played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. She was a three-year starter with five goals and four assists and was a three-time Horizon League season and tournament champion. After college Behnke played for the Chicago Red Stars reserves in the summer of 2016.
