Minnesota Aurora FC Announces Youth Camp Program Starting Summer 2024

Uncategorized

St Paul, MN, February 16, 2024 –  Minnesota Aurora FC today announces the launch of Aurora Summer Camps. This is the inaugural camp program by the pre-professional women’s soccer club, which is entering its third season this year.

Aurora’s soccer camps are open to girls aged seven to eighteen. The four camp sessions will be divided by age group and will provide opportunities for players to learn Aurora values and Player DNA in a developmentally appropriate way. Campers will be challenged in a fun environment that promotes soccer and leadership skills such as cultivating a growth mindset, playing with freedom, and increasing confidence on and off the field.

Each camp will be led by Aurora FC-approved coaches, including current and former players. Using a combination of methodologies, players will participate in activities and small-sided games to enhance critical soccer skills and develop leadership qualities.

“Our community has been eager for an Aurora camps program,” said First Assistant and Director of Camps Colette Montgomery. “This program provides another opportunity to develop a pipeline for girls and women to advance in the sport of soccer. We can’t wait to get these players to camp.”

Registration for Aurora’s youth summer camps will open on February 21 at 9am. Camps will kick off June 10, with one session running each week until July 25. Camps run for three hours per day, three days per week, with a fee of $225 per player. More information, registration, and FAQs can be found at www.mnaurora.com/camps-clinics
