Minnesota Aurora FC Appoints Colette Montgomery as Sporting Director and Head Coach

St Paul, MN, April 8, 2024  Minnesota Aurora FC today announces the appointment of Colette Montgomery as the new Sporting Director and Head Coach of the club. 

Montgomery joined Minnesota Aurora FC in January after leading soccer at North Central University as Manager of Soccer and Head Coach for both women’s and men’s teams. Prior to her role at North Central University, Montgomery served as the Director of Coaching at Edina Soccer Club, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the club’s coaching philosophy and enhancing its youth development initiatives. Montgomery also serves as a Grassroots Coach Educator with U.S. Soccer, underscoring her commitment to nurturing talent at all levels of the game.

Montgomery’s appointment underscores Minnesota Aurora FC’s commitment to building a strong foundation for success both on and off the field. Her proven leadership abilities and deep understanding of the game will be invaluable as the club continues its pursuit of excellence in the highly competitive USL-W’s pre-professional women’s soccer league.

Aurora’s 2024 season kicks off May 23 on the road against Chicago’s Dutch Lions. Aurora’s Home Opener is scheduled for May 30 at TCO Stadium in Eagan. Single game tickets and group tickets are available now.
