Minnesota Aurora FC Earns 2-0 Road Victory Over River Light FC, Remains Perfect Through Four Matches

Minnesota Aurora FC continued its strong start to the 2026 season on Friday night, earning a composed 2-0 road victory over River Light FC at Marmion Academy and improving to 4-0-0 on the season.
The matchup featured two of the early contenders in Group D action, with Aurora entering undefeated and River Light coming off their first setback of the season while carrying a 2-1 record into the contest.
After a tightly contested opening stretch, Aurora broke through in the 28th minute. Maia Tabion found the back of the net to give Minnesota a 1-0 advantage and send the visitors into halftime with momentum.
Aurora maintained control in the second half, continuing to apply pressure while remaining organized defensively. The insurance goal arrived in the 63rd minute when Skye Leach extended the lead to 2-0, giving Minnesota valuable breathing room for the final stages of the match.
From there, the Aurora defense locked things down and secured another clean sheet to preserve the road result.
With the win, Minnesota Aurora FC moves to 4-0-0 on the season and sits atop the USL W League Group D standings as the club continues to build momentum through the opening weeks of the campaign.
