Minnesota Aurora FC Powers Past Sioux Falls City FC 3-0, Remains Unbeaten at 7-0

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Minnesota Aurora FC continued its dominant start to the 2026 season on Wednesday night, turning a tightly contested first half into another statement result with a 3-0 road victory over Sioux Falls City FC.
The match, broadcast live on Fox 9+, saw Aurora improve to 7-0-0 on the season while extending their impressive run of form and strengthening their position atop the USL W Power Rankings.
Despite controlling stretches of possession early, Aurora was unable to break through during a disciplined first half from Sioux Falls. Both sides created moments, but defensive organization and key saves kept the scoreboard level as the teams entered halftime tied 0-0.
Whatever adjustments were made at the break paid immediate dividends.
Aurora stormed out of the locker room and opened the scoring less than a minute into the second half.
In the 46th minute, Gracie Dunaway found the breakthrough, finishing off a quick attacking sequence to put Minnesota ahead 1-0 and shift momentum firmly in Aurora’s favor.
Just two minutes later, Aurora struck again.
In the 48th minute, Skye Leach doubled the advantage, capitalizing on the fast start and putting Sioux Falls under immediate pressure.
With the hosts chasing the game late, Aurora delivered the finishing blow.
In the 82nd minute, Hadli Barrera added the third goal of the evening to secure the victory and continue Minnesota’s remarkable defensive and attacking run through the opening stretch of the season.

The clean sheet marked yet another strong defensive performance for Aurora, who have become one of the most difficult teams to break down in the league while continuing to find goals from throughout the lineup.
Now sitting at 7-0-0, Minnesota heads home carrying momentum and confidence into another important divisional matchup.
