Minnesota Aurora FC Stays Perfect with 2-0 Road Win Over Rally Madison

The unbeaten start to the season continued Saturday night for Minnesota Aurora FC as Aurora earned a hard-fought 2-0 road victory over Rally Madison at Breese Stevens Field in the USL W League Game of the Week.
Entering the match, Rally Madison was looking to bounce back after opening its season with an 0-1 record following a loss to River Light FC. Meanwhile, Aurora arrived in Madison riding momentum from a dominant 6-0 season-opening victory over Rochester FC earlier in the week.
Minnesota wasted little time taking control.
Just four minutes into the match, Talia Morisi found the back of the net to give Aurora an early 1-0 advantage and immediately silence the Madison crowd. The quick strike set the tone for a confident opening half from the visitors.
Aurora continued to apply pressure throughout the first half, and in the 27th minute Ai Kitagawa extended the lead to 2-0 with her fourth goal of the young season. The finish capped another dangerous attacking sequence and further showcased the offensive firepower Aurora has displayed through its opening matches.
At halftime, Minnesota Aurora held a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The second half turned into a defensive battle as both clubs tightened up on the back line and limited quality scoring opportunities. Aurora’s defense once again stood tall, preserving the clean sheet and securing the club’s second consecutive victory to open the 2026 campaign.
With the win, Minnesota Aurora continues its impressive early-season form, outscoring opponents 8-0 through its first two matches while remaining unbeaten heading deeper into USL W League play.

Next up, Minnesota Aurora FC continues its road swing on Thursday, May 28, as Aurora travels to Illinois to take on Rockford Raptors FC. Aurora will look to keep its unbeaten start alive after opening the season with back-to-back shutout victories and an impressive 8-0 goal differential through two matches.
