Minnesota Roller Derby
A skater-owned, flat-track roller derby league founded in 2004 and based at the historic Roy Wilkins Auditorium. As a founding member of the WFTDA, Minnesota Roller Derby champions empowerment and inclusivity for women, non-binary, and gender-expansive athletes. Entirely volunteer-run, the league fosters community, and develops new skaters.
Minnesota Lynx
A professional women’s basketball team in Minnesota competing in the WNBA since 1999. With four league titles, the Lynx continue to lead on the court while driving meaningful community impact through youth programs, literacy initiatives, and inclusion-focused outreach.
Twin Cities Gemini
A professional women’s rugby team based in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. Founded in 2025 as a charter franchise of Women’s Elite Rugby (WER), the Gemini bring high-energy, intense competition to the field and feature fast-paced action, family-friendly fun, and community-focused events.
Minnesota Vixen
A Twin Cities-based professional women’s football team empowering female and non-binary athletes since 1999. Competing in the WFA, the Vixen deliver high-caliber, full-contact football while fostering an inclusive, community-driven environment rooted in diversity, equality, and leadership.
Minnesota Strike
Minnesota’s first professional ultimate team for women and gender-expansive players. Their mission centers on visibility, equity, and community— uplifting marginalized athletes, creating opportunities for girls and youth of color, and breaking down barriers across the sport.
Kalsoni Activewear & Athleisure
A purpose-driven activewear brand inspired by the Somali word for confidence. They design culturally and faith-inclusive modest activewear that empowers women and girls to move with comfort, coverage, and confidence.
